Volunteers

If you are, or know someone of Arab descent, with an interesting perspective or incident we invite you to share it with us.

We understand that sharing your story with us, and having it showcased in the film festival can be a very daunting affair. We understand that certain topics and issues may be sensitive by nature, and that you may have qualms presenting yourself to such a large audience.

Rest be assured that we will take all your concerns into consideration. We want to be certain that you are feel at ease and are comfortable with what we are doing. What we want to do is tell your story, and give an accurate representation of you.

Because we are keen to tell your story, much of the pre-production planning of the topic, and filming processes will be discussed with you. This is to ensure that your voice will be blatantly apparent throughout the film, and any issues or concerns you have can be addressed during this time.

What’s interesting about me?

The documentaries don’t necessarily need to have a political edge. The topics that we would like to discuss in our films can be an entire range that includes music, dance, gaming, driving, sports… Or it could even be your love of Melbourne, and/or other cultures and ethnicities. The list is not exhaustive. For example, if you are an avid music lover, we could then try to showcase your life through music.

We want to capture you, and in essence, a part of the Arab culture in Melbourne.
